Cobaltum is in stage 9 of the ironseries. Like Manganum in stage 7 and like the whole ironseries, stage 9 is similar to virgo.

Embodiment of the individual in the world. Problems of adjustment dealing with the world and others. Perfection of the approach to life. Development of mundane skills, ability to change to adapt to life better. Service, helping, perfectionist, always seeking to improve, efficiency, practical, functional, analytical. Interested in crafts and projects, true to self in a simple, unassuming manner. Reacts to defeats and setbacks by pulling back and altering approach. Lacks confidence in the face of opposition, lives up to duties and responsibilities. Interested in maintaining the body as a fit vehicle.

But along with the perfection and improving of virgo, there is also the insecurity, the isolation and irrational fear of cancer.

Cobaltum misses the confidence and self-expression of leo. Scholten calls it the finishing touch, but they get stuck there and never get to the final completion.

Want to do everything perfect. Have to test everything. Details can give problems. Do not want to make mistakes. Afraid it can all go wrong. Irrational fear, as if they did something wrong, but they do not know what. The feeling easy to make mistakes. Little self-confidence. They know they can do it, but are afraid that it will go wrong. That they will fail. Close, but not yet there. Canceling of a project. The feeling it would have been a failure. Get a black out because of their fears. Typical is give up just before the exam because they think it will go wrong. Feeling of failure before the community. Feel isolated.

Cobaltum

Rhodium is the remedy of stage 9. The signs that belong to that stage are cancer and virgo. It is the next step after the experiences (cancer) of the inner nature (leo) in stage 8.

Here in stage 9 it is about experience (cancer) and perfection (virgo), which can easily go into insecurity and criticism. And as this is the silverseries, the insecurity (cancer) and criticism (virgo) are a reflection (libra) on their own vision (sagittarius).  

The complementary signs of stage 9 are capricorn and pisces. So serious and ambitious (capricorn) as well as a tendency to escape (pisces).

Scholten mentions the focus on the finishing touch.

Almost there, almost reached the top. Make the final steps and then it is finished. Want to test everything for the last time before the official performance. With the final rehearsal there can be made minor improvements. Although everything is right for a good performance, they stay afraid that it will go wrong. Cancel the performance out of fear that it will be a fiasco. Very nervous, especially just before the performance. Afraid to make an error that will fade away all the preparations of years. Possibilities to become the best, but get stuck in this phase and always be second best.

Rhodium

Europeum is in stage 9 of the lanthanides. It is in the same stage as Cobaltum (ironseries) and Rhodium (silverseries). Stage 9 is about perfection (virgo)

Perfectionist, always seeking to improve, efficiency, practical, functional, analytical. Interested in crafts and projects. Reacts to defeats and setbacks by pulling back and altering approach.

and insecurity (cancer).

Feelings, emotion, first emotional attachments to the world. Experiences and imprinting during infancy and childhood. Insecurities and fears if your needs haven’t been fulfilled.

In the ironseries it was perfection and insecurity about their function (virgo), and in the silverseries about their reflection (libra) and vision (sagittarius).

Here with the lanthanides it is perfection and insecurity on their road to independence. Europeum in stage 9 is about developing skills (virgo) while dealing with experiences (cancer) in the totality of the lanthanides, which itself is a fusion of interaction (gemini)

Clever, curious, communication. Trying to figure out, intelligence. Requires great mental stimulation. Playful, inconstant, attention easily drifts so something new, seeks novelty.

and integration (scorpio).

Transformation, change, ego-death, rebirth, transcendence. Personal growth. Intense, passionate, magnetic, unyielding. Stands up for self, usually covertly, manipulates power. Understands deeper layers of the psyche beyond the ego, unable to communicate this well leading to misunderstandings. Breaking free of illusory limitations. Self-mastery.
